In a gathering of historic size, some 5000 PEI Liberals came together in Charlottetown to choose a new provincial leader. Akaash was asked to address the convention immediately before the announcement of the election results. You can listen to his speech by clicking on the links below.

"You have proved that we are a party of the many, not the few," said Akaash.

"I am sure that if you listen very carefully, you will hear the quiet hissing of Pat Binns and the Tory caucus wetting themselves before the shadow of this convention," he added laughingly.
